About us...

My name is Sandra DE PESSEMIER, born in East Flanders (Belgium) in November 1970.

I got the passion for the artistic (I have a degree in photography and write poetry), the empowerment and humour from my father's side. My mum passed the sense of responsibility on to me and nurtured the soft core in my rougher husk.

My one year elder brother provided me with the purest form of togetherness and friendship, regardless of whether we agreed or not.

A degree in Tourism in hand, I travelled to Tenerife and Gran Canaria where I was employed in the hotel sector and also tried to improve my Spanish language skills.

Eighteen months later I returned to Belgium. Somewhat dissapointed but with a thorough life experience as well as a hands-on and mature approach to life, I initiated my professional career.

Via Brussels, Antwerp, Waregem and Ghent, I evolved from a position as a receptionist in a well-established law firm into a role of personal assistant in international companies.

The common thread troughout my career remained the same: people contact, consolidation, administration, confidentiality and the use of five languages.

Why did we move to Spain?

Unfortunately, in 2017, my partner was diagnosed with cancer. He was confirmed to be cured in 2021, but the ordeal of his illness and my subsequent burnout made us rethink our future and our priorities.

From an early age, we both were keen travellers, had already obtained a thorough work experience abroad and truly had the urge to explore other horizons.

In 2018, during a holiday on the Costa Blanca North, we fell in love with the verdant Jalon Valley, a cycling heaven for both amateurs and professionals. We thereupon decided to buy a small flat in the village for our future (cycling) holidays.

My dismissal which followed upon my return to Belgium was the last drop that spilled the cup. The process of emigrating to Spain was meticulously prepared and I immediately started following Spanish language courses.

In 2019, I was offered a position at a "gestor" (consulting firm for administration and management) and after having lost a close friend due to cancer, we permanently relocated to Jalon.

Since our arrival in Spain, I have always been employed in the real estate sector (gestor, notary, estate agent, holiday homes rental agent and construction promoter).

Meanwhile, we have moved to our dream home and have dealt with many administrative and bureaucratic issues.

The predilection for guiding clients with a personal approach and the desire to find a better balance between work and private life led me to become self-employed and do what I love most.

Assisting people in their search for a (holiday) home or investment property in a qualitative and tailor-made approach gives me intense satisfaction.

The logo refers to my love for light and sunbeams.

San is my call sign and D.P. also stands for "Dedicated Prospector".

The slogan is my motto in our joint roadmap:" Dream it, love it, own it!”

At the end of 2022, a new regulation was drafted in the Valencian Community regarding the exercise of activity as (intermediary) real estate agents in real estate transactions.

The main objective here is to protect users and consumers and to be able to control and sanction the activities of real estate brokers and their intermediaries.

This new law requires more professional knowledge and more involvement and responsibility from all active and new real estate agents in the Valencian Community.

What requirements must be met as from 16 October 2023?

- Holding a certified diploma as a professional real estate agent after academic training of at least 200 teaching hours.

- Be registered with the Spanish professional umbrella association for real estate agents, API.

- Have two compulsory active insurances: civil liability and deposit guarantee.

- Be registered in the Spanish Professional Register of Real Estate Agents for the Valencian Community, RAICV

In line with the current legislation and to protect you as a customer, I can present the following certifications:

- Professional real estate agent certificate after 250 teaching hours and successful examination at TAGO ESTUDIOS.

- Membership with the Spanish umbrella professional association for real estate agents, API No 00612.

- Two active insurances subscribed through API: civil liability and deposit guarantee.

- Registration in the Spanish professional register of real estate agents for the Community of Valencia, RAICV 1942.
